The AFA is delighted to launch the program for our 2017 National Practitioner Roadshow.

In this National Practitioner Roadshow we will showcase both the ‘theory’ and ‘practice’ of how leading businesses are adapting to change and making their own successful adjustment to this exciting profession. We will have a blend of world class speakers and award winners to share their knowledge and ideas to provide you with new skills to take back to your business.

Practitioners have always been the best source of knowledge as they are closest to the client conversation.

Welcome to the AFA National Practitioner Roadshow for 2017. There is a lot to discuss and reflect on the forces which are shaping our profession. On the political and regulatory front, MyRetirement and the newly formed Financial Adviser Standards & Ethics Authority (FASEA) Board will have long lasting structural change to our industry. These regulatory changes are set against a backdrop of societal shifts which we have never experienced before. The adjustment to retirement can be both difficult and rewarding and advisers are well placed to help people make this adjustment both financially and emotionally.

Given the contrast of the head winds which advice business now face and the opportunities to grow the demand for our professional services, it is worth reminding ourselves that as practitioners we are well placed to play an active and critical role in how we want to be perceived by the public. The AFA Community of Practice is for all advisers who are passionate about growing the demand for quality financial advice and firmly establishing our profession in the hearts and minds of everyday Australian families.

Thanks for coming along to this important National Practitioner Roadshow as we showcase both the ‘theory’ and ‘practice’ of how leading businesses are adapting to change and making our own successful adjustment to this exciting profession
