The FPA 2008 National Conference is set to take place next week.
The theme for this year’s Conference, being held at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre, is ‘Ignite the Difference’, as it will focus on what’s new and different, and how financial planners can differentiate themselves as professionals.
The Conference takes place over two days on Thursday 20th and Friday 21st November, but is preceded by two days of pre-conference workshops on Tuesday 18th and Wednesday 19th November that will focus on professional development and include sessions on presentation skills, business succession planning and ethical decision making.
The Conference program contains an array of topics of value to the financial adviser, including a presentation from 2006 AFA Adviser of the Year, Troy Edmonson, on the topic of “Risk insurance is back… and it’s sexy!”
