AIG Life - Services Update

New Automatic Notification System

AIG Life has released a new automated email notification system to assist advisers when their clients are impacted during billing cycles.

The system has been trialled in a pilot program earlier this year and has now been released for access by all advisers.

In its latest Adviser News update, AIG Life defines the new service as a consolidated snapshot of all the policies impacted during the specific billing cycle.  It allows advisers to drill down to policy specific information on the AIG Life adviser site, via a hyperlink. The report will tell advisers when their client has been sent a notification by AIG Life relating to one of the following categories:

  • Notice of Premium Due
  • Premium Overdue
  • Lapse
  • Upcoming Policy Renewal

2008 Claims Review for Advisers

AIG has released its Claims Summary for 2008, which also contains claims information dating back to December 2004.  The report is intended to assist advisers and their clients with an overview of where the claims have been paid.

This is an excellent service for advisers and, while a number of insurers also release similar details, it is an area where more information should perhaps be made available to advisers, their clients and the broader community.

The review document can be found in the riskinfo Resource Centre, or by clicking the above link.
