Each of the following appointments are of key sales and business development personnel to service the needs of the independent financial adviser:
AIG Life
AIG Life has welcomed Richie Sorensen as its new Sales Manager for NSW/ACT.
The company reports Mr Sorensen has several years’ life risk experience in previous roles with AMP and MetLife. Mr Sorensen holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree as well as a Diploma of Financial Services.
Asteron
Asteron has announced the appointment of Barry Strapps to its South Australian Sales team.
Mr Strapps has a long record of financial services and practice management roles in the industry, including recent senior positions with AMP Financial Services.
The addition of Mr Strapps to Asteron’s South Australian team is seen by the insurer’s SA State Manager, Stuart James, as an opportunity for it to extend its business, product and marketing services to advisers.
AMP Financial Services
AMP has made two adviser services appointments, both to its AMP Life Insurance independent financial adviser team:
- Matt Lippiatt: Sales and Operations Manager
- Matt Styles: Business Development Manager
In Mr Lippiatt’s newly-created national position, he will be responsible for growing and developing AMP’s relationship with independent financial advisers.
AMP advises that Mt Lippiatt will move to Sydney to take up his new role, having worked for the company in Brisbane since 2006 in business development roles servicing advisers across risk insurance and superannuation.
Mr Styles joins AMP from a business development role at CommInsure. The company says that Mr Styles’ state-based business development role for AMP in Victoria further strengthens its commitment to servicing independent financial advisers.
