Asteron has announced two service initiatives over the last week:
- Launch of AAA Service Centre
- Lifeguard EQ Enhancement
AAA Service Centre
Asteron’s latest ‘Insights’ bulletin announced to advisers the launch of the Asteron Adviser Assistance (AAA) Service Centre.
This is a specialist adviser service centre, the purpose of which is to respond to adviser enquiries on current or lapsed policies.
Asteron advises that the AAA Service Centre has a dedicated team of experienced Customer Service Officers on hand to understand the business needs of advisers, who can:
- Make general enquiries on current, lapsed or heritage products
- Organise alterations for in-force policies that do not require any underwriting
Asteron notes that advisers can still call the Asteron Life Customer Service Team, however to speak to a dedicated adviser assistance officer, they should now contact AAA.

Lifeguard EQ Enhancement
Asteron has announced that its Lifeguard EQ insurance application and underwriting platform has now become a fully automated electronic solution.
In a note to advisers, Asteron outlines that changes made to the Lifeguard EQ processing engine mean that:
- For ‘Accept’ and ‘Accept with Modified Terms’ - where the terms are accepted - the end to end process is fully automated, with no manual intervention, where clients will be sent their documentation overnight
- For decisions that must be referred to underwriters, system changes will result in efficiency gains of at least 24 hours
Other minor changes have also been made which will enhance the system’s efficiency, with Asteron set to make further announcements shortly about other underwriting and services initiatives.
