The changing landscape of the Australian life insurance industry continues today with the launch of the AIA brand to Australian advisers and their clients.
…the re-branding of the company involves a company name change (to AIA Australia Limited) and the adoption of the AIA logo
Formerly operating in Australia as AIG Life, the re-branding of the company involves a company name change (to AIA Australia Limited) and the adoption of the AIA logo. The rebrand reflects the company’s brand alignment with the rest of the AIA Group across the Asia region.
In Melbourne, at the first of a national series of key adviser briefings, advisers were presented with details of the new brand identity and its implications and were also updated on other product, service and technology initiatives from AIA Australia.
Accompanying the re-branded company and products, a new Product Disclosure Statement has been issued for the AIA Australia Priority Protection product range, with an effective date of 24 June 2009.
AIA Australia has taken the opportunity to update its product offering in the new PDS, introducing a number of enhancements, particularly within key definitions. There are no rates changes associated with these enhancements, details of which will be reported separately.
AIA Australia also announced its entry into the electronic application and underwriting space with the forthcoming launch of eApp Express.
eApp Express will be launched to advisers and their clients in late July 2007, and is intended to be a seamless continuation of its well-established eApp electronic proposal system.
Summarising today’s new brand launch, AIA Australia Deputy Managing Director, Paul Carson, said, “Our aim is to make the re-branding exercise as seamless as possible for all stakeholders and to minimise unnecessary disruption for our clients. Close consultation with our institutional partners is already well underway to ensure a seamless transition to any changes required.”
