riskinfo encourages everyone in the financial services industry to support the Leukaemia Foundation’s Light the Night Celebrations this Spring.
To be held across Australia in September and October, Light the Night will bring together tens of thousands of people in a common cause to remember, celebrate and give hope to people living with blood cancers.
Light the Night will bring together tens of thousands of people in a common cause to remember, celebrate and give hope to people living with blood cancers
Light the Night events, which take people on a leisurely twilight walk around a scenic part of their city, were held for the first time last year in Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane. They were highly successful events, which raised funds for the work of the Leukaemia Foundation as well as uniting thousands of people in the Foundation’s ongoing mission to care and vision to cure.
This year, Light the Night events will be celebrated in every state and territory in September and October, and people can participate either through their employer, with family and friends or as individuals.
The Foundation offers many different ways in which employers and individuals can contribute, such as:
- Volunteer and form a fundraising team
- Recruit friends, family and coworkers to raise funds and walk as a team
- Volunteer your time
- Help out the night of the event
- Join one of the Foundation’s committees
