The Financial Planning Association is asking advisers to step outside their comfort zones at this year’s FPA National Conference, being held in Melbourne.
Running from 18 - 20 November, under the theme ‘The Professional Edge‘, the Conference speakers will be highlighting:
- The imperatives of industry professionalism and;
- The need to challenge accepted norms in a dynamic industry
While a broad variety of topics will be covered at the Conference, there will be a number of opportunities for advisers to hear from key politicians about the issues presently facing the financial services industry. These speakers include:
- Minister for Financial Services, Superannuation and Corporate Law, The Hon. Chris Bowen, who will be opening this year’s Conference
- Shadow Treasurer, The Hon. Joe Hockey, MP
- Chair of the Parliamentary Joint Committee Inquiry into Financial Products and Services, The Hon. Bernie Ripoll, MP
FPA CEO, Jo-Anne Bloch, said “The FPA has been at the forefront of change in the past year, in particular with the introduction of its remuneration policy. We want FPA members to challenge
