AMP is targeting experienced advisers to join a new recruitment and development program through its AMP Horizons Financial Planning Academy.
AMP Horizons Managing Director, Tim Steele, said they will specifically target and recruit candidates with one to five years experience in financial planning:
“AMP Horizons is looking for recruits with experience in financial planning, who want to start their own practice. Candidates should have the appetite, aptitude and be prepared to start a new AMP Financial Planning practice in 2010,” said Mr Steele.
The academy is planning to recruit up to 16 candidates to participate in its first intake, set to commence in January 2010. Participants in the course will undertake a new four week core training program and an additional, optional, two week program for immediate start-ups.
Planners will be offered the opportunity to either:
- Immediately start a practice with intensive support, including access to ‘unique’ financing options or;
- Choose to remain at Horizons Practice to further develop their skills and experience ahead of owning and operating their own practices in future
