Genesys CEO Resigns, Replacement Announced

In a smooth transition process, Genesys Group has announced its Chief Executive, Greg Kirk, will be stepping down, and will be replaced by ipac’s John Saint.

In what the AXA-owned dealer group described as a ‘planned succession’, it has told the market that Mr Kirk’s resignation is in line with his contract term that was negotiated at the time of AXA’s acquisition of Genesys in 2008.

While Mr Kirk will officially step down at the end of the year, Mr Saint’s appointment to the office of CEO will become effective from 7 December.

Genesys advises Mr Saint has extensive experience in financial advice organisations, both in Australia and overseas, and is currently the Head of ipac Business Partnering in Sydney.

While it is advised that Mr Kirk will be taking a ’short career break’, he will become a non-executive Director of Genesys Group from 1 January 2010.

Genesys has also announced that Neil Swindellswill stepping down as non-executive Chairman of the Genesys Group but will remain on the Board as a Director, and that Andrew Waddell, General Manager of AXA’s Financial Advice Network, will replace Mr Swindells as Executive Chairman.
