Aviva and Macquarie Life have reported updates for advisers:
Aviva
In its latest adviser bulletin, Aviva has outlined changes to its online Riskfirst new business application system, to take effect from 12 December:
- New Application Options: Riskfirst now offers the choice of three options when selecting the type of online application:
- A new application
- A replacement to an existing Aviva policy or upgrade to current series with increase to current benefits
- A replacement to an existing Aviva policy or upgrade to current series with no increase to current benefits
- Improved Occupation Search Menu: A new occupation search tool is intended to provide greater transparency and easier navigation. Advisers insert a phrase and Riskfirst will return a list of possible matching occupations. The user then scrolls through the list and selects the occupation that best matches the life insured.
- Following adviser feedback, advisers will now be able to run reports on protection client data for a total period of 51 days in advance of policy renewal. Previously, the website was restricted to reporting on client data due for renewal for a total of 21 days in advance. The new report will become available from 11 December.
Macquarie Life
Macquarie Life is issuing a new PDS for its FutureWise range (Issue Date: 11 December 2009).
The insurer advises this is simply a reprint of its current PDS, which incorporates the content of its 23 October SPDS, introducing Child Trauma benefits, into the main body of the PDS. There have been no product changes.
