IRESS has announced it has acquired software firm SENTRYi, as a first step to expand its operations into the Asian market.
Based in Singapore, SENTRYi is an independent software provider that develops, distributes and supports financial planning software tools for advisers.

IRESS MD, Andrew Walsh, said the initial focus is on fresh opportunities, such as extending the firm’s risk research and analytics capability for the Singapore market.
“SENTRYi has made a solid start in Singapore and the region, and with IRESS providing financial confidence and capacity and with technology synergies, we are confident in the opportunity to grow our Asian wealth management business,” said Mr Walsh.
In addition to the commencement of its Asian expansion, IRESS now offers wealth management and financial market software systems in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and South Africa.
