The winners of the 2009 Plan For Life/AFA Life Insurance Company of the Year Awards will be announced shortly.
Feedback received from advisers in response to surveys held throughout 2009 will be a key factor in determining the winners of the various product and service quality awards, including the Platinum Award for Life Insurance Company of the Year.
The Awards are jointly conducted by research house, Plan For Life (PFL), and the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA), where companies are recognised for excellence over the past year in the areas of product and service quality.
Each life company is ranked across a range of key criteria, which also form the basis of PFL’s Risk Products Benchmarks Service for dealer groups, where dealers use the outcomes to stay up to date with latest industry trends as well as to assist them in developing and maintaining their risk products recommended lists.
The criteria include consideration of companies’:
- Financial strength and sustainability
- Current premium rates
- Premium rates variance/volatility over time
- Product features
- Service quality, eg:
- Underwriting & New Business
- Claims
- Service support
Space is still available for anyone interested to attend the Awards function, to be held in Sydney on Wednesday 24th February 2010. This year’s function will feature a presentation from special guest speaker, former NSW Opposition Leader, Kerry Chikarovski, who will be discussing ‘Life After the Ripoll Report’.
Other key awards to be presented at the Life Insurance Company of the Year function will include:
- Annuity Provider of the Year
