TOWER Australia (TOWER) has announced the appointment of Niall McConville to the role of National Dealership Manager.
Mr McConville joins TOWER from AIA Australia, where he held a similar position. He assumes the role vacated by David Evansin late 2009,and will report to TOWER’s Head of Distribution, Retail Life, Pat O’Connor.
Mr O’Connor said attracting a person of Mr McConville’s knowledge and ability highlighted TOWER Australia’s presence in the life insurance market where it held a leading position.
Mr McConville will commence with TOWER in May 2010 and initially work out of the specialist insurer’s Melbourne offices before relocating to Sydney at a later date.
The announcement of Mr McConville’s appointment by TOWER follows a release late last week by AIA that announced the departure of Mr McConville as well as AIA’s well-known Head of Adviser Services, David Mounsey.
Mr Mounsey will also be maintaining his long-time presence within the financial services industry as he commences the development of his own specialist advice practice from his Melbourne base.
AIA advises it will soon announce replacements for Mr Mounsey and Mr McConville’s senior roles as well as further new appointments to its adviser services team.
