The Leukaemia Foundation’s annual ‘World’s Greatest Shave’ event is taking place across Australia from 11 to 13 March.
This year, the Foundation expects around 125,000 people to shave or colour their hair to raise funds for its ongoing works.
The money raised is used by the Foundation to fund free services to support patients and families living with leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders. It also funds blood cancer research to find better treatments and cures.
In what is one of Australia’s biggest fundraising events, the Foundation is calling on all Australians to get involved. Those interested in participating can do so in a number of ways, including:
- Signing up to shave or colour your hair
- Join a team from your work or from your community
- Sponsor a Shaver
