AMP Horizons Financial Planning Academy has announced it is looking to tap into the female adviser market, having presented a networking and information session earlier this week.
The event, held at AMP’s Sydney head office, was intended to give interested women an insight into the potential of financial planning as a career or as a business opportunity.
Female planners are under represented in the financial planning industry
“Female planners are under represented in the financial planning industry and we believe this is a missed opportunity - not only for licensees looking to expand their planner base but also practices looking to grow their businesses,” said AMP Horizon’s Director, Tim Steele.
The networking presentation featured a panel discussion between three of AMP Horizon’s female graduates, who discussed why financial planning appealed to them, how it fits into their different lifestyles and the challenges and opportunities for financial planners.
AMP Horizons advises it will also be running a web conference for those not able to attend the Sydney session. The conference will be conducted on Thursday 24 March, at 12.30pm.
