Meredith Barnes has joined MLC in the newly-created position of Head of Onsale Advice Product.
According to MLC, Ms Barnes will be responsible for ‘… ensuring the MLC Personal Protection Portfolio and the Aviva Protection First insurance product set remains contemporary in the market and meets the needs of financial advisers.’
Ms Barne’s most recent role was as National Manager for Business Development at Allianz Life. She has also held senior life insurance product roles at Metlife and Zurich.
MLC’s Insurance General Manager of Advice Product, Sean McCormack, said “Meredith has a depth of life insurance product knowledge having been involved in the industry for the last 16 years across a variety of roles.”
Ms Barnes appointment follows the recent confirmation of MLC’s new Risk Team Leadership, charged with delivering results for the combined MLC/Aviva insurance operations (see MLC Announces New Leadership Team). She commences with MLC on 12 April.
