Matrix and ING Australia have announced appointments to service their respective adviser networks:
Matrix Planning Solutions
Matrix has announced Helen Shao will join the dealer as a Practice Development Manager.
Ms Shao has more than twenty years’ experience in the banking and finance industry, including time spent operating her own financial planning practice. Recent roles have included Senior Account Manager with Fiducian Financial Services and Practice Development Manager with AXA.
According to Matrix Director, Adviser Services and Development, Allison Dummett, Ms Shao’s appointment reflects the dealer’s commitment to a high level of service to its 41 practices (and planned growth to 50): “While other models have a much lower ratio of PDMs to advisers - ours will be 1:20 or eventually 1: 25 practices,” said Ms Dummett, adding that the firm’s major focus at present is strategic advice and developing improved fee for service models.
ING
Vilma Attanasio has been appointed the insurer’s SA/NT Distribution Manager for Insurance.
Ms Attanasio has served the South Australian financial services sector for twenty years, the last half with ING. She has previously held senior distribution roles with ING, and has been the company’s ‘BDM of the Year’ for the last two years.
