TAL Group Chief Executive and Managing Director, Brett Clark, joins AIA Australia Chief Executive, Damien Mu, on the FSC’s Board, while Clark will also co-chair the FSC’s Life Board Committee.

While TAL and AIA Australia are the only insurance only businesses represented on the FSC Board, insurers are well represented among its 13 members, with AMP Group Executive of Insurance and Superannuation, Pauline Blight-Johnston, and MLC Limited Chief Executive (and NAB Wealth Group Executive) Andrew Hagger also serving as Board members.

FSC chair and Schroder Investment Management Australia Chief Executive, Greg Cooper, said Clark has a deep understanding of financial services which covered life insurance, wealth management and consulting and spanned more than 20 years.

The FSC Board currently comprises Schroder’s Greg Cooper and Co-Deputy Chairs, BT Financial Group Chief Executive, Brad Cooper and Perpetual Chief Executive and Managing Director, Geoff Lloyd.

In addition to Clark, Mu, Blight-Johnston and Hagger, the other FSC directors are: Brian Benari (MD and CEO of Challenger); David Bryant (CEO & CIO of Australian Unity Investments); Robin Burns (MD, Equity Trustees); Lochiel Crafter (Head of Asia Pacific, State Street Global Advisors); Brett Jollie (MD, Aberdeen Asset Management Australia Limited); and Annabel Spring (Group Executive, Wealth Management, Commonwealth Bank of Australia).
