The MDRT organisation in Australia has appointed a new group of advisers to take on State Chair duties across the mainland states.
Working with Australian Chair, Adam McCann, these state-based roles are all filled by full-time financial advisers. They are:
Victoria: Jenny Brown – JBS Financial Strategists
SA: Steven Genoff – Bartons
NSW: Brian Kennaugh – Hunter Financial
Qld: Dominique Schuh – Schuh Group
WA: Peter Tucker – Sage Financial Group
Genoff’s appointment became effective earlier this year, while transition to the other state appointments takes place between now and December. Each appointment is for a two-year term.
Commenting on the new appointments, McCann said he is delighted with the depth of professional and industry experience the new chairs will bring to the role: “We have an excellent blend of highly qualified younger professional advisers who bring their new perspectives and also more mature advisers with a wealth of experience built over many years in professional advice,” he said.
“We’re looking to bring the best ideas from around the world via the MDRT state meetings to equip advisers to meet today’s challenges and to continue to articulate and deliver value to their clients,” he added.
The Australian involvement and influence in this global organisation, which boasts more than 43,000 members worldwide, continues to increase. More Australian advisers are taking roles on various MDRT international committees, including Queensland’s Ross Vanderwolf, who is presently serving a five-year term on MDRT’s Executive Committee. More Australian advisers are also being invited to speak at the organisation’s flagship Annual Meeting; the next scheduled to take place in Orlando Florida from June 4 – 7 2017.
