The Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) has opened nominations for its annual awards which are entering their 14th year and will be announced at the National Adviser Conference in October.
The five awards open to AFA members include the AFA Excellence in Education (nominations open 19 April until 16 June), the AFA Female Excellence in Advice, AFA Rising Star of the Year, AFA Practice of the Year and AFA Adviser of the Year (nominations opening 15 May until 28 July).
AFA Chief Executive, Phil Kewin said recognising excellence in financial advice was central to improving awareness and raising the standards of the advice profession, as well as allowing advisers to learn from their peers.
“The evaluation process, carried out in conjunction with partners Zurich, TAL, ANZ Wealth and Asteron Life, is a comprehensive and stringent judging exercise that not only serves to further enhance those who participate but also enables the profession to learn and share from the best of the best, as we continue to deliver great customer outcomes” Kewin said.
The AFA will also open nominations for the Female Excellence in Advice Award as part of national roadshow conducted by its Inspire Community of Practice beginning in Hobart on 15 May.
