CommInsure Enhances Underwriting with New Interview Service

CommInsure has released enhancements to its underwriting offer adding a new tele-interview service designed to gather all necessary information in a single call.

Under the new service, advisers can request that CommInsure’s Australian-based specialist tele-interviewing team collect information directly from customers in a single call, to complete their personal statement for life cover. Requests for the service can be made through the CommInsure online application system, WriteAway.

Within the same system, CommInsure has upgraded existing under-writing rules by increasing auto-acceptances to include loadings and exclusions and refreshing underwriting guidelines to reduce unnecessary referrals.

CommInsure Head of Life Distribution, Olivia Sarah-Le Lacheur said the enhancement provided more choices for advisers and their clients and were designed to make the process more seamless and efficient for both groups.

“These enhancements are the first phase of a broader program designed to create a simple and seamless application experience for advisers and their clients. We’re transforming our digital business platforms to complement the significant product enhancements we released in November 2016,” Sarah-Le Lacheur said.
