MLC Life Insurance has appointed the Chief Executive Office of AIA New Zealand, Natalie Cameron, as its new Chief Claims Officer.
Cameron will start in the role on July 10 and report directly to MLC Life Chief Executive Officer, David Hackett and join the insurer’s Leadership Team.
The role of Chief Claims Officer at MLC Life had previously been held by Sean McCormack in an acting capacity alongside his current role of Chief Operating Officer.
Cameron will head MLC Life’s 350-strong claims team and joins directly from her role at AIA New Zealand, having previously held roles as AIA Australia Chief Operating Officer, Chief Group Insurance Officer and prior to that General Counsel & Company Secretary, over a 12 year period with AIA.
Hackett said Cameron will be joining MLC Life during a period of strong growth following the 80% acquisition by Nippon Life Insurance in late 2015 and described her life insurance industry experience as ‘broad and deep’.
