O’Dwyer will provide further details on how the recently formed Financial Adviser Standards & Ethics Authority (FASEA) will reshape education and professional standards, said AFA Conference Chair, Michael Nowak, adding that it was important for AFA members to be engaged with the framework being set out by the Government.

Other keynote speakers includes Corgenius Chief Executive, Amy Florian who will speak on helping and supporting clients through the grieving process.

“Amy combines neuroscience and psychology with a good dose of humour to train professionals in building strong relationships with clients through all the losses and transitions of life. This presentation provides a unique opportunity for advisers to develop their skills in this integral area,” Nowak said.

“AUSTRAC assessed that cyber-enabled fraud has been growing in scale and sophistication, with financial advisers being targeted as they act as a gateway between customers and financial institutions,” Nowak said.
