The AFA has named NSW financial adviser, Mia Taylor of Evalesco Financial Services as the 2017 AFA Rising Star.
Taylor was chosen from a field of six finalists at the AFA’s opening session at its 2017 National Adviser Conference on the Gold Coast.
The other finalists were Andrew Debono from Announcer Group, Karlee Hoog-Antink from Elders Financial Planning Mackay, Keats Brydon from Finn Financial Planning, Lauren Walker from EUROZ Securities Limited and Sam Jewell from Rising Tide Financial Services.
The Award, launched in 2005 and supported by ANZ Wealth since that time, recognises advisers with four years or less experience who are making a positive contribution to the development of the next wave of
AFA Chief Executive, Phil Kewin said Taylor had established herself as an ambassador for advice and showed great skills, maturity and a sense of commitment to embodying financial health for her clients.
“In a very competitive group of finalists, the way she engages with clients and her passion and commitment for her profession and her community are what made her this year’s AFA Rising Star,” Kewin said.
