ANZ Wealth Insurance Portal Goes Mobile

ANZ Wealth has enhanced its online life insurance adviser portal, OneView Life, allowing advisers to access and make changes to client information held across ANZ retail life insurance policies, including OneCare.

Under the enhancement, advisers will be able to access the portal’s dashboard and weekly customisable reports as well as client information and correspondence.

ANZ Wealth Head of Life Insurance, Gerard Kerr said, “Advisers will also be able to lodge policy update requests such as updating contact information or declining a CPI increase without the need of a client signature”.

“These enhancements respond to adviser feedback that efficiency, self-service and mobile capability are critically important for their business,” he said, adding that training for advisers on the new functionality would take place in the coming weeks.

MLC Life Named as Vision Super Insurer

MLC Life Insurance has been appointed as the new group insurer for industry superannuation fund, Vision Super, replacing CommInsure.

The deal will take effect from 1 January 2018 and result in MLC Life Insurance providing default life insurance cover for death, TPD and income protection for the fund’s 100,000 strong member base. Under the terms of the deal, premium rates for members have also been locked for the next three years.

MLC Life Insurance has indicated it is seeking a larger footprint in the group life market and earlier this year launched a platform that would allow super fund members to apply for and increase their cover and lodge and track claims (see: MLC Life Launches Group Life Platform).

MLC Life Insurance Chief Customer Officer of Group Insurance, Suzanne Smith said the deal was another milestone in becoming a contender in the group insurance market.

“We have been steadily increasing our presence against the more established group insurers in the market, and today’s announcement shows we are making real progress. Our recent launch of LifeView, for example, provides us with a digital capability that gives trustees a genuine point of difference for their members’ insurance needs,” Smith said.
