Sydney based risk specialist practice, MBS Insurance has entered into its second joint venture with another professional services provider, and will offer its life insurance expertise to clients of general insurance broking firm, Honan Insurance Group.
The joint venture, which was launched on 4 December, will be known as Honan Life Insurance Group and builds out the specialised general insurance offerings from the Honan Insurance group.
MBS Insurance partner, Drew Burden said the joint venture with Honan Insurance Group was an acknowledgement of the organisation’s standing in the financial advice sector as a national risk specialist business.
“As a leading life insurance specialist, we are excited to be joining Honan Insurance Group under this new brand. Collectively, we bring together the best of our respective organisations to create a new way to engage with clients and support them to protect their financial futures,” Burden said.
He added that the financial services sector had an overwhelming volume of offerings but “…MBS Insurance has been very successful in this environment over a long time and the JV with Honan Insurance Group positions our brand as an industry leader with distinctive strengths.”
Honan Insurance Group Chief Executive, Damien Honan said, “The alliance with MBS Insurance under the Honan Life Insurance Group gives us the ability to enhance our marketplace and client offering with a more inclusive integrated insurance service.”
Honan Insurance Group has offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, New Zealand, Singapore and the US, and the joint venture is the second arrangement of its kind for MBS Insurance which also offers life insurance advice to clients of accounting firm, Pitcher Partners, under a deal announced in September 2016 (see: Risk Specialist Joins With Accounting Group).
