AMP will offer a 10 per cent premium discount for five years to life insurance customers who meet specific health criteria.
The premium discount will apply to AMP Elevate Life and Total and Permanent Disability stepped premium policies, and can be combined with multi-plan, large case and trauma overlap discounts, to add a further 5 per cent premium discount.
To be eligible for the AMP Elevate Healthy Start discount, customers need to:
- Be aged between 30 and 60 (on next birthday)
- Be a non-smoker
- Have a BMI of between 18.5 and 28
- Have no health-related loadings or exclusions on lump sum cover
The policy discount will be available until 2 December 2018 and adviser commissions will be calculated after any discounts have been applied, and applications can be made using AMP’s online quoting service – Elevate Online.
AMP Director Insurance Proposition, Greg Johnson said the discount would help advisers hold lifestyle and goals-based discussions with clients and marks a shift for the insurer in developing a relationship with customers that helps them live healthier lives and reward them for doing so.
