OneCare Available Through Macquarie Wrap

ANZ will offer its OneCare life insurance products on a wrap platform outside the bank for the first time after announcing that advisers can access the products via the Macquarie Wrap.

ANZ Wealth Head of Life Insurance, Gerard Kerr said the arrangement with Macquarie Wrap was one of three to be announced in 2018 and had taken some time to finalise as the bank wanted to build a model it could use with other wrap platform providers.

“We took our time because we wanted to get the foundations right to make it easier to get OneCare product on to other platforms,” Kerr said.

OneCare products are currently available through ANZ’s own wrap platforms – Oasis Wrap and Grow Wrap – the latter operated by Macquarie Group, and Kerr said discussions were taking place with other platform providers.

“If all goes to plan we hope to announce another arrangement in the coming months and another before the end of the year,” he said.

TAL Recognised For Ongoing Gender Equality Efforts

TAL has been named as an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality (ECGE) for the fourth consecutive year by the Commonwealth Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA).

The life insurer was one of 120 organisations Australia-wide to receive an ECGE citation which is presented to organisations that meet high standards in workplace gender equality.

TAL Group Chief Executive & Managing Director, Brett Clark, said the citation recognised the life insurer’s ongoing efforts to create a fair and equitable workplace.

To date, TAL has put in place a range of initiatives that gender equality including equal employment policies and training, an annual pay gap analysis to address issues of pay parity, career development programs aimed at advancing talented female employees, and parental leave benefits for male and female staff.

“TAL has an ongoing commitment to workplace pay equity and gender equality. It is a key part of our strategy, culture and values, and we watch and monitor it closely,” Clark said.
