AFA Award Winner Names New Partner
Melbourne based financial advice business, JBS Financial Strategists, headed by its founder and current MDRT Australia Chair, Jenny Brown, has promoted one of its advisers to the leadership of the business.
Senior financial adviser, Warren Hanna, will join Brown as a partner, after having worked within the firm since 2014.
Brown, who was the 2013 AFA Adviser of the Year, said the decision to make Hanna a partner was the result of “…collective thinking that has enabled us to continually think outside the square and grow both as people and as a business”.
“This is not only in recognition of the time and energy that Warren has committed to JBS over the years but it is also his vision and support for the future of JBS Financial that is important as well.”
MetLife appoints Head of Group Product
MetLife has appointed a former MLC Life Insurance staffer as its new Head of Group Product responsible for expanding MetLife’s group offering and capabilities.
Stephen Sefton, formerly MLC Life Head of Group Insurance Product and Strategy, will be responsible for developing products which leverage MetLife’s current initiatives in claims management, early intervention, digital experience and health and wellbeing for group life members.
Sefton will report to James Carey, MetLife’s Head of Reinsurance and Regulatory Affairs and comes to the role with experience at First State Super and Ampol and Caltex Group Superannuation Fund.
