Long-time adviser and MDRT stalwart, Stuart Farrell, has been honoured for his contribution to the organisation as Australian and New Zealand advisers celebrated at the 2018 MDRT Annual Meeting.

Farrell was announced as the recipient of the 2018 Collins Phillips Award, which recognises significant contributions made to the MDRT organisation by Australian members and also acknowledges their contribution to the broader financial services industry.

The fourth recipient of this Award, Farrell has a lengthy history of giving back to MDRT and the financial services sector, including volunteer roles as well as participating in and chairing various area and zone committees for MDRT.

The Award was announced at the traditional ANZAC function, which is held each year at the MDRT Annual Meeting. It was presented by Godfrey Phillips, who, together with Russell Collins, is the Australian industry elder statesman after whom the Award is named.

Current Executive Committee member and next MDRT global President, Ross Vanderwolf, was the inaugural winner of the Collins Phillips Award in 2015, followed by another Queensland adviser, Susan Paterson, in 2016 and Geelong adviser, Ross Hultgren.
