BT has launched a new health and wellness portal for its life insurance clients.

Called the My Wellbeing Portal, the new service is intended to provide clients with access to a range of discounts, as well as an online hub focused on health and wellbeing.

BT …is offering eligible new and existing clients a ten percent discount

As part of the wellbeing initiatives, BT advises it is offering eligible new and existing clients a ten percent discount on its BT Protection Plans Term Life policy premiums, subject to certain age and health criteria. BT says it is also waiving the policy fee for all Term Life policies for eligible new and existing clients.[1]

The insurer says new clients can apply for the discounts through its quote and application software LifeCENTRAL+, while existing clients can apply through the new My Wellbeing Portal, and confirms the discounts apply for the life of the policy.

Through the My Wellbeing Portal, clients will be able to access:

  • Articles on health and wellbeing
  • Personalised wellness assessments
  • Nutritional recipes
  • Fun wellbeing challenges

BT says the portal also includes access to its rewards program, which offers special deals and discounts on a range of products, including entertainment and travel.

Sean Boner, BT’s Head of Product, Life Insurance, said: “For many people, the key areas that underpin wellness are intertwined: mind, body, work, life and finance. We hope the My Wellbeing Rewards and Portal resonate with clients and help them maintain a healthy lifestyle.”

[1] Clients aged between 30 and 55 years, with a body mass index of 18 to 28, and who have not experienced any major deterioration in health since their last application for insurance, are eligible for the 10 per cent discount. The 10 per cent discount offer is not available in conjunction with BT’s 10 per cent discount platform offer. Both discounts are available for both new and existing clients with Protection Plans policies which commenced after April 2006.
