Westpac Bank has announced Ashley Stewart will become its Acting General Manager of Advice, following the appointment of incumbent Jane Watts to the role of GM Westpac Retail and Premium Bank.
According to Westpac, Stewart will be charged with leading the transformation of the bank’s advice business, including the transition of its personal financial advice services to Viridian Advisory (see: Westpac to Exit Personal Financial Advice).
Stewart has held a string of senior private banking senior management roles with Westpac and BT since joining the Bank in 2011 from ANZ, where he was its GM Financial Planning prior to his move.
His appointment becomes effective from 1 May.
