TAL Takes Top Honours at Life Company Awards

TAL has won the Platinum Award for the 2018 AFA/Strategic Insight Life Company of the Year.

Presented at a gala event in Sydney on Thursday, this is the second consecutive year and fifth time overall that TAL has beaten its life company rivals to win this prestigious award.

The three other finalists in the big award for the evening were: AIA Australia, OnePath and Zurich.

Now in their 13th year, these awards represent the ‘gold standard’ when it comes to objectively benchmarking the annual performance of the country’s life insurance firms, where the companies are assessed by Strategic Insight against key benchmarks including:

  • Financial Strength and Sustainability
  • Market Sales Growth
  • Premium Rates
  • Premium Rates Volatility
  • Relative Quality of Terms and Conditions
  • Service Quality

Zurich was singled out as the winner of the overall Service Quality Award, where the other finalists in that category – all of which are stand-alone insurers, were: AIA Australia, MLC Life Insurance and TAL.

Product and innovation awards were shared between a number of providers, while the valued Client Service Team Awards went to:

Underwriting Team of the Year

  • Winner: BT Financial Group
  • Finalists: ClearView, OnePath

Claims Team of the Year

  • Winner: OnePath
  • Finalists: Zurich, MLC Life Insurance

BDM/Business Support Team of the Year

  • Winner: Zurich
  • Finalists: ClearView/BT Financial Group

The life company product awards went to:

Term/TPD Product Award

  • Winner: AIA Australia
  • Finalists: MLC Life Insurance, TAL, OnePath

Trauma Product Award

  • Winner: BT Financial Group
  • Finalists: TAL, MLC Life Insurance

Income Protection Product Award

  • Winner: MLC Life Insurance
  • Finalists: TAL, CommInsure

Asteron Life won the Risk Product Innovation Award for its “The Sophisticated Adviser” Education program.

  1. I trust TAL has not forgotten how they got these honours ?? Who achieved these awards for you ?? Your not a bank so no over the counter business coming in !! Step up with Zurich and MLC and fight for us like we have done to lift your image in all this LIF rubbish
