{"id":10852,"date":"2011-06-08T00:00:26","date_gmt":"2011-06-07T14:00:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=10852"},"modified":"2021-04-15T10:17:06","modified_gmt":"2021-04-15T00:17:06","slug":"aia-special-offer-enhanced-takeover-terms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2011\/06\/08\/aia-special-offer-enhanced-takeover-terms\/","title":{"rendered":"AIA Special Offer, Enhanced Takeover Terms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>AIA Australia (AIA) is offering policyholders an opportunity to double their cover without underwriting as it also eases takeover terms for clients transitioning to AIA&#8217;s Priority Protection range.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->In an offer that expires\u00a0on 17 June 2011, eligible AIA Priority Protection policyholders are being offered the chance to double their life and\/or TPD insurance cover without any underwriting.<\/p>\n<p>Clients with existing life cover will be able to double their insurance\u00a0by up to a maximum of\u00a0$1 million, while TPD cover can be doubled to a maximum plateau of $750,000.<\/p>\n<p>In an incentive to consider this offer, policyholders who take up additional cover by 17 June 2011 will go into a draw to win a $5,000 gift card.<\/p>\n<p>AIA notes the total TPD cover cannot exceed the total life cover and that clients who want a different level of cover will be asked to contact their adviser.\u00a0 While free of underwriting, applicants for the increased cover levels will be subject to a Declaration of Continued Good Health.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Enhanced Takeover Terms<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In other AIA news, the insurer has released enhanced takeover terms for clients transferring into its Priority Protection suite.<\/p>\n<p>Whereas previously a full application was needed to transfer, only a short form application is now required.<\/p>\n<p>In a further easing of terms:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Life\/TPD\/Crisis benefits are now available to transferring clients up to age 60 next birthday (previous age maximum was 55 next birthday)<\/li>\n<li>Income Protection and Business Expenses transfers can now be made up to age 55 next birthday (previously 50 next birthday)<\/li>\n<li>Income Protection and Business Expenses cover may be transferred if underwritten within the last 5 years (previously\u00a0last 3\u00a0years only)<\/li>\n<li>Income Protection maximum cover on transfers has increased to up to $15,000 per month, with short medical exam and full application if cover is over $10k (cover transfers previously over $10,000 per month were not eligible)<\/li>\n<li>Medically, cases with prior loading up to +50% or 1 health exclusion are now also eligible for all benefits ( previously only \u2018standard&#8217; lives were eligible)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AIA Australia (AIA) is offering policyholders an opportunity to double their cover without underwriting as it also eases takeover terms for clients transitioning to AIA&#8217;s Priority Protection range.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[4],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-10852","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","category-products"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/10852","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/3"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=10852"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/10852\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=10852"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=10852"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=10852"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
