{"id":12520,"date":"2011-09-20T16:35:03","date_gmt":"2011-09-20T06:35:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=12520"},"modified":"2021-04-15T10:18:50","modified_gmt":"2021-04-15T00:18:50","slug":"executive-appointments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2011\/09\/20\/executive-appointments\/","title":{"rendered":"Executive Appointments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Suncorp Life\u00a0and the Commonwealth Bank have made key executive appointments, while the Financial Services Council (FSC) has announced a new Deputy Chairman.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Suncorp Life<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Suncorp Life has appointed <strong>Sean Carroll<\/strong> to the role of Executive General Manager for Life Risk Australia.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Carroll, who will transfer to Sydney from his current base in New Zealand, has been performing this role in an acting capacity for the past five months.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Geoff Summerhayes<\/strong>, Suncorp Life Chief Executive, described the Life Risk team as the &#8220;engine room&#8221; of the group&#8217;s life product and service offer.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Sean will bring his intellect, passion and dedication to the role,&#8221; Mr Summerhayes said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CBA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Commonwealth Bank has also announced changes to its executive team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annabel Spring<\/strong>, who is currently the Group Head of Strategy, will take on the position of Group Executive Wealth Management.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The role became vacant following the appointment of <strong>Grahame Petersen<\/strong>, who currently leads the wealth management business, to the position of Group Executive Business and Private Banking.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Spring will be replaced by <strong>Robert Jesudason<\/strong>, who joins the Commonwealth Bank from Credit Suisse.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FSC<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In other appointment news, the FSC has elected <strong>Greg Cooper<\/strong> as its new Deputy Chairman, following the resignation of Board member <strong>Michael Bargholz<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Cooper is CEO of Schroder Investment Management Australia and has been a Director of the Financial Services Council for three years.<\/p>\n<p>FSC Chairman, <strong>Peter Maher<\/strong>, welcomed Mr Cooper, saying: &#8220;Greg is a very talented leader in the investment management community and we are pleased to have him increase his involvement with the Financial Services Council as Deputy Chairman.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Suncorp Life\u00a0and the Commonwealth Bank have made key executive appointments, while the Financial Services Council (FSC) has announced a new Deputy Chairman.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":7,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[249],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-12520","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","category-appointments"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/12520","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/7"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=12520"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/12520\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=12520"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=12520"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=12520"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
