{"id":13111,"date":"2011-11-08T16:32:47","date_gmt":"2011-11-08T06:32:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=13111"},"modified":"2021-04-15T10:20:06","modified_gmt":"2021-04-15T00:20:06","slug":"latest-key-appointments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2011\/11\/08\/latest-key-appointments\/","title":{"rendered":"Latest Key Appointments"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>MLC<\/li>\n<li>ANZ Wealth<\/li>\n<li>TAL<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">MLC<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>MLC has appointed <strong>Megan Beer<\/strong> to the role of General Manager Group Insurance.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Beer has 20 years&#8217; experience in the financial services industry, including her most recent role as Head of Finance with MLC Insurance.<\/p>\n<p>Executive General Manager of Insurance, <strong>Duncan West<\/strong>, said: &#8220;We are delighted to have Megan as our GM of Group Insurance for MLC. \u00a0Her extensive financial knowledge combined with her industry experience will be a stunning addition to the team.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have experienced strong growth in our group insurance business in recent times and we look forward to building on that momentum,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">ANZ Wealth<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Paul Barrett<\/strong>, ANZ General Manager of Advice and Distribution, has announced the final appointment to his executive team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Neil Younger<\/strong> has accepted the role of Head of Practice Based Financial Planning.\u00a0 Mr Younger, previously the General Manager for Commonwealth Financial Planning, will be responsible for ANZ Wealth&#8217;s aligned dealer groups: RI Advice, Financial Services Partners and Millennium3.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking about the appointment Mr Barrett said: &#8220;Neil&#8217;s experience will be invaluable in assisting our licensees navigate their way through the impending Future of Financial Advice legislation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">TAL<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>TAL has boosted its retail insurance sales team with the appointment of <strong>Beau Riley<\/strong> as National Dealership Manager and <strong>Marcus O&#8217;Sullivan<\/strong> as Queensland State Sales Manager.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Riley, who was previously Head of Retail Business Development at RGA, will be responsible for managing TAL&#8217;s dealer group partnerships.\u00a0 Mr O&#8217;Sullivan will have carriage of Queensland-based sales activity.\u00a0 He previously held the role of National Manager for Risk at BT Dealer Groups.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brett Clark<\/strong>, TAL&#8217;s CEO for Retail Life, said the appointments form part of TAL&#8217;s sales strategy to provide responsive and personalised service to its distribution partners.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our partnership model with advisers is multi-dimensional.
