{"id":13429,"date":"2011-11-29T15:13:41","date_gmt":"2011-11-29T05:13:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=13429"},"modified":"2021-04-15T10:20:04","modified_gmt":"2021-04-15T00:20:04","slug":"pjc-extends-fofa-submission-deadline","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2011\/11\/29\/pjc-extends-fofa-submission-deadline\/","title":{"rendered":"PJC Extends FoFA Submission Deadline"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Parliamentary Joint Committee on Corporations and Financial Services (PJC) has announced an extension on the due date for submissions relating to the Future of Financial Advice (FoFA) reforms legislation.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->The extension follows the release of the second FoFA Bill last week (see:<a href=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2011\/11\/24\/door-open-for-volume-bonuses-to-continue-fofa-tranche-2\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\"> Door Open for Volume Bonuses to Continue &#8211; FoFA Tranche 2<\/a>), which was subsequently referred by the House of Representatives to the PJC.<\/p>\n<p>The Committee,\u00a0chaired by <strong>Bernie Ripoll<\/strong>, whose original report formed the basis of the FoFA reform recommendations, will\u00a0consider both Bills concurrently, with submissions from industry stakeholders now\u00a0extended until 22 December.<\/p>\n<p>Hearings into the reforms, which were originally scheduled for the first week of December, have now been postponed to 23 and 24 January.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The reporting date for the PJC remains\u00a029 February 2012, while\u00a0the Government continues to\u00a0target an implementation date for many of the\u00a0proposed reforms, including\u00a0Opt-in, of 1 July 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Both FoFA Bills have also been referred to the Senate Economics Committee (SEC).\u00a0 Submissions to the SEC are due on 27 January and a reporting date has been set for 14 March.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Parliamentary Joint Committee on Corporations and Financial Services (PJC) has announced an extension on the due date for submissions relating to the Future of Financial Advice (FoFA) reforms legislation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":7,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[8,270],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-13429","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","category-compliance-regulation","category-remuneration"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/13429","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/7"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=13429"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/13429\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=13429"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=13429"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=13429"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
