{"id":25552,"date":"2014-03-19T13:47:27","date_gmt":"2014-03-19T03:47:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=25552"},"modified":"2015-01-09T10:27:36","modified_gmt":"2015-01-08T23:27:36","slug":"sinodinos-stands-aside","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2014\/03\/19\/sinodinos-stands-aside\/","title":{"rendered":"Sinodinos Stands Aside"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Assistant Treasurer, Senator <strong>Arthur Sinodinos<\/strong>, has stepped down from his position on the front bench following corruption allegations.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_25556\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25556\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2014\/03\/Arthur-Sinodinos1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-25556\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2014\/03\/Arthur-Sinodinos1.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"180\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-25556\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Senator Arthur Sinodinos<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Earlier this week, the Labor Party called for the Senator to step aside due to his involvement in a corruption inquiry looking into\u00a0Australian Water Holdings (see: <a href=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2014\/03\/18\/fofa-amendments-to-be-tabled-this-week\/\">Corruption Claims Threaten to Overshadow FoFA Amendments<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The Senator confirmed today he would stand aside as Assistant Treasurer while the inquiry process was underway.
