AIA Group has announced a change at the top of its Australian business, following the promotion of current CEO, Peter Crewe<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Incoming AIA Australia CEO, Damien Mu<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Damien Mu<\/strong> has been appointed as the new AIA Australia CEO, while Mr Crewe will take up the role of CEO, Group Corporate Solutions of AIA Group, based in Hong Kong.<\/p>\n

Mr Mu is currently the General Manager, Life Insurance of AIA Australia, most recently leading the successful launch of AIA Vitality in Australia. He has more than 17 years\u2019 experience in the Australian financial services industry, with management experience spanning operations, claims and underwriting, superannuation, investments, distribution, product, pricing and marketing.<\/p>\n

Mr Crewe\u2019s AIA career spans more than 20 years, including holding the position of Chief Operating Officer of the Company\u2019s Group Corporate Solutions business in 2008, a time during which he concurrently held the positions of Managing Director of AIA Pension and Trustee Company Limited and CEO of AIA Trustee (Company) Limited.<\/p>\n

In their new roles, both Mr Mu and Mr Crewe will report to Gordan Watson<\/strong>, Regional Chief Executive Officer, AIA Group.<\/p>\n

Mr Watson said: \u201cI would like to thank Peter for the many contributions he has made to our business in Australia. During Peter\u2019s tenure as CEO, AIA Australia has experienced significant growth and I know that our employee benefits and pension business across the Asia-Pacific region is set to greatly benefit from his leadership. I am also delighted with Damien\u2019s appointment, which exemplifies the deep level of talent we have across our business. I am very confident that he will guide our business in Australia to new heights in 2014 and beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n
