ANZ has moved the head of RI Advice, Darren Whereat<\/strong>, into a new role overseeing aligned advisers within the bank.<\/p>\n

Whereat\u2019s move will result in him reporting through to ANZ, Managing Director Wealth Australia, Alexis George who recently took on that role after the bank announced a reshuffle of a number of senior positions<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In his new position, Whereat, as General Manager Aligned Dealers & Advice Standards, will also be responsible for advice standards across the ANZ\u2019s aligned adviser network which includes ANZ Financial Planning, RI Advice, M3 Financial Services and Financial Services Partners.<\/p>\n

He moves to the role after more than three years with RI Advice where he held the role of chief executive and prior to that worked at BT Financial Group as Head of Key Accounts and Dealer Services.<\/p>\n

George said the bank would begin a recruitment process to replace Whereat at RI Advice and that his contribution to that business and his industry experience would make him a valuable addition to the bank\u2019s Wealth Australia leadership team.<\/p>\n

ANZ also announced it had appointed the current Head of Network Sales at ANZ Wealth, Joe McGrath<\/strong> as the State Manager for Victoria and Tasmania for the ANZ Wealth retail sales team.<\/p>\n

McGrath, who will be based in Melbourne with the appointment to take effective immediately, has been with ANZ for the past 12 years having held roles as head of distribution for E-Trade, business development manager for adviser and a product manager for structured products.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
