{"id":36273,"date":"2017-03-07T16:51:15","date_gmt":"2017-03-07T05:51:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=36273"},"modified":"2017-03-07T19:23:22","modified_gmt":"2017-03-07T08:23:22","slug":"afa-names-new-ceo-as-fox-announces-departure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2017\/03\/07\/afa-names-new-ceo-as-fox-announces-departure\/","title":{"rendered":"AFA Names New CEO as Fox Announces Departure"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) has announced that its current Chief Executive, <strong>Brad Fox<\/strong> will stand down from the role after four years with former Zurich executive, <strong>Philip Kewin<\/strong> to take on the role from 20 March.<!--more--><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_36003\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-36003\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2017\/02\/Brad-Fox-copy.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-36003\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-36003\" src=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2017\/02\/Brad-Fox-copy.jpg\" alt=\"AFA CEO, Brad Fox...LIF reforms not yet complete\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-36003\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Outgoing AFA CEO, Brad Fox<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In a statement released to media, the AFA said Fox\u2019s resignation and the appointment of Kewin was a planned move in which Fox would act as a consultant to the Association in the areas of professional standards and codes and assist Kewin in his transition into the Chief Executive role.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are now entering the next phase of implementing the professional standards legislation where our members will get the professional recognition they deserve,\u201d Fox said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow is the right time for me to hand the baton on to Phil.
