{"id":36967,"date":"2017-05-08T19:08:37","date_gmt":"2017-05-08T09:08:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=36967"},"modified":"2017-05-10T07:00:02","modified_gmt":"2017-05-09T21:00:02","slug":"demand-for-life-books-stays-strong","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2017\/05\/08\/demand-for-life-books-stays-strong\/","title":{"rendered":"Demand for Life Books Stays Strong"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Demand for life insurance books of business has not declined in the lead-up to the start of the Life Insurance Framework, according to financial advice business broker, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.radarresults.com.au\" target=\"_blank\">Radar Results<\/a>.<!--more--><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_33052\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-33052\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2016\/04\/John-Birt-cropped.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-33052\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-33052\" src=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2016\/04\/John-Birt-cropped.jpg\" alt=\"Radar Results Principal, John Birt\" width=\"150\" height=\"180\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-33052\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Radar Results Principal, John Birt<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Releasing figures tracking prices changes over the past six months to 31 March 2017, Radar Results Principal, <strong>John Birt<\/strong>\u00a0found demand from buyers and the multiples of recurring revenue being sought by sellers has remained stable during that time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is still a huge demand for risk clients, a demand which has not been dampened by the proposed new Life Insurance Legislation,\u201d Birt said, adding that \u201cMost demand has been for book sizes of $150,000 to $500,000 in annual renewal commissions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe age of the clients is important, and the younger the clients, the higher the price multiple.
