{"id":37188,"date":"2017-05-30T19:05:50","date_gmt":"2017-05-30T09:05:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=37188"},"modified":"2025-09-02T11:34:00","modified_gmt":"2025-09-02T01:34:00","slug":"mlc-launches-new-claims-technology-platform","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2017\/05\/30\/mlc-launches-new-claims-technology-platform\/","title":{"rendered":"MLC Launches New Claims Technology Platform"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MLC Life Insurance has launched a new cloud-based automated claims processing solution.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Called <em><a href=\"http:\/\/claimvantage.com\/product\/claimfirst-claims-management-solution\/\" target=\"_blank\">ClaimFirst<\/a><\/em>, this new technology platform will accommodate the processing of the stand-alone insurer&#8217;s income protection and TPD claims.<\/p>\n<p>The platform delivers a centralised, digital database that will store all IP and TPD claims information and is intended, according to the release announcing the initiative, to help MLC Life Insurance &#8216;&#8230;make claims decisions more quickly and simply for customers.&#8217;<\/p>\n<h6>&#8230;the insurer wants to ensure that its customers have a clear understanding of both the process and the timeframe for handling their claim&#8230;<\/h6>\n<p>MLC Life Insurance Acting GM Claims, <strong>Natalie Eckersall<\/strong>, noted the insurer wants to manage claims quickly and with a minimum of fuss and ensure that its customers have a clear understanding of both the process and the timeframe for handling their claim.<\/p>\n<p>She noted an example of this approach is the removal of traditional claims forms &#8220;&#8230;so that we can work directly with the customer to get the information that is required quickly and efficiently.&#8221; Eckersall added that part of the process allows MLC Life Insurance to capture information in real time when the claims team member is on the phone with the customer.<\/p>\n<p><em>ClaimFirst<\/em> is a software platform owned by international claims management solutions provider, <a href=\"http:\/\/claimvantage.com\/australia\/\" target=\"_blank\">ClaimVantage<\/a>.
