{"id":39314,"date":"2017-12-07T12:01:39","date_gmt":"2017-12-07T01:01:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=39314"},"modified":"2025-09-02T11:33:58","modified_gmt":"2025-09-02T01:33:58","slug":"tal-names-new-head-of-claims","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2017\/12\/07\/tal-names-new-head-of-claims\/","title":{"rendered":"TAL Names New Head of Claims"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TAL has appointed a new head of claims, promoting a current senior staffer based in South Africa to the role.<!--more--><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_39315\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-39315\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2017\/12\/Loraine-Van-Eeden-cropped.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-39315\" src=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2017\/12\/Loraine-Van-Eeden-cropped.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"180\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-39315\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">TAL General Manager Claims, Loraine Van Eeden<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>TAL General Manager &#8211; International Life Solutions, <strong>Loraine van Eeden<\/strong> will take on the role of TAL General Manager, Claims previously held by <strong>Mary Maini<\/strong>, who has left TAL for personal reasons.<\/p>\n<p>Van Eeden, who joined TAL in October 2016, will start in the new role in the insurer\u2019s Sydney office from 2018 and will be responsible for overseeing claims management across all of TAL\u2019s distribution channels.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to joing TAL, van Eeden previously worked as the Head of Swiss Re\u2019s Life and Health Claims proposition in their London and Zurich offices.
