{"id":40615,"date":"2018-04-23T21:05:24","date_gmt":"2018-04-23T11:05:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=40615"},"modified":"2018-04-23T21:05:24","modified_gmt":"2018-04-23T11:05:24","slug":"pacific-life-revamps-claims-engine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2018\/04\/23\/pacific-life-revamps-claims-engine\/","title":{"rendered":"Pacific Life Revamps Claims Engine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pacific Life Re will revamp elements of its UnderwriteMe digital platform as part of new partnership with occupational rehabilitation experts, Thrive Re Consulting.<!--more--><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_40616\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-40616\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2018\/04\/Andrew-Gill.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-40616\" src=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2018\/04\/Andrew-Gill.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"180\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-40616\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Pacific Life Re Australia Managing Director, Andrew Gill<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Under the partnership, Thrive Re Consulting will conduct a research to identify the most current practices and specific factors and questions that will be integrated into the Claims Rules Engine, which is part of suite of products within UnderwriteMe.<\/p>\n<p>At present, Engine contains a database of more than 6,500 medical conditions and provides initial and ongoing assessment information for claimants and their doctors, as well as recommendations for rehabilitation and return to work programs.<\/p>\n<p>Pacific Life Re stated it recognised the value of identifying the biopsychosocial obstacles that hindered rehabilitation or a return to wellness at the earliest opportunity in the claims management process in order to improve outcomes for claimants.<\/p>\n<p>Pacific Life Re Australia Managing Director, <strong>Andrew Gill<\/strong> said the partnership with Thrive Re Consulting would build help the reinsurer \u201c\u2026go even further in delivering a fast, highly personalised and complete service for claimants.
