AMP has replaced its adviser training program, Horizons, with a new program which will require advisers to hold a Financial Adviser Standards and Ethics Authority (FASEA) approved degree before they can commence studies.<\/p>\n

The new program, Adviser Pathways<\/a>, will be open to university graduates, people transitioning into advice from other careers and advice practice staff and will take two to three years to complete, depending on qualifications, experience and skills.<\/p>\n

The training program, which is offered through AMP Adviser Academy, will provide training in face-to-face, phone-based and technology enabled advice \u201c\u2026reflecting the varied ways customers are now choosing to receive financial advice\u201d, according to AMP.<\/p>\n

Candidates for the program will need to have completed a degree that is approved by FASEA before they can enrol and will also need to complete a financial planning skills course, offered by Griffith University, within their first year, and will count as credit towards the university\u2019s FASEA-approved Master of Financial Planning qualification.<\/p>\n

AMP Head of Advice Education, Capability & Careers, Rod Edge<\/strong> said the new program, which is taking applications for its first intake,<\/a> was designed using ideas drawn from advisers within AMP licenses.<\/p>\n
