after the former Minister,\u00a0<b>Kelly O\u2019Dywer<\/b>, was moved into a new role as part of a Cabinet reshuffle.<!--more--><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_37598\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-37598\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Former Minister for Revenue and Financial Services, Kelly O\u2019Dwyer<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>O\u2019Dwyer has been named as the Minister for Jobs, Industrial Relations and Women, vacating her previous role which she held since July 2016, after the former Treasurer, <b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Scott Morrison<\/b>, took on the role of Prime Minister following a leadership spill in the Liberal Party.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the reshuffle, WA Senator <b>Matthias Cormann<\/b> has retained his position as Minister for Finance while the Minister for the Environment, <b>Josh Frydenberg<\/b> has been named as Federal Treasurer.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Queensland MP,\u00a0<b>Stuart Robert<\/b> has been named as Assistant Treasurer and ACT Senator <b>Zed Seselja<\/b> as Assistant Minister for Treasury and Finance.<\/p>\n<p>A list of cabinet and ministry positions released by the Morrison Government shows that no-one has yet been handed the financial services portfolio, and that it is not listed among the appointments.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_41982\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-41982\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2018\/08\/Stuart-Robert.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-41982\" src=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2018\/08\/Stuart-Robert.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"179\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-41982\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Assistant Treasurer, Stuart Robert<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In the past, however, the portfolio of financial services has been held by the Assistant Treasurer, including <strong>Bill Shorten<\/strong> under the Gillard Government, <strong>Arthur Sinodinos<\/strong> under the Abbott Government, Frydenberg under the Abbott and Turnbull Governments, and O&#8217;Dywer under the Turnbull Government until the role was made separate in July 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Ministers will be sworn into their new roles on 28 August and it is likely further portfolio details will be
