{"id":42710,"date":"2018-10-22T16:30:49","date_gmt":"2018-10-22T06:30:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=42710"},"modified":"2018-10-24T07:28:47","modified_gmt":"2018-10-23T21:28:47","slug":"neos-unveils-underwriting-and-sales-teams","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2018\/10\/22\/neos-unveils-underwriting-and-sales-teams\/","title":{"rendered":"NEOS Unveils Underwriting and Sales Teams"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NEOS Life has concluded a series of appointments which have led to the creation of its underwriting team which will be headed by former BT Life Underwriting Manager, <strong>Gemma Wheeler<\/strong>.<!--more--><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_42711\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-42711\" style=\"width: 151px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2018\/10\/Gemma-Wheeler_Head-of-Underwriting-and-Operations-NEOS-Life.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42711\" src=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2018\/10\/Gemma-Wheeler_Head-of-Underwriting-and-Operations-NEOS-Life.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"151\" height=\"180\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-42711\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">NEOS Life Head of Underwriting and Operations, Gemma Wheeler<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Wheeler will be joined in the role by two senior underwriters, <strong>Cara Glanville<\/strong> and <strong>Maria Monaghan<\/strong>, who have also joined NEOS from BT Life.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to joining NEOS, Wheeler was with BT Life for nearly six years, holding the role of National New Business and Underwriting Manager for three years and the role of NSW\/ACT State Underwriting Manager. Glanville has held senior underwriting roles with Westpac and TAL, as has Monghan with BT, AMP and MLC Life.<\/p>\n<p>NEOS Life also announced the line-up of its Sales team, which currently covers the eastern seaboard states but will include an on-the-ground presence in Western Australian and South Australia in the future.<\/p>\n<p>The Sales team, headed by <strong>Charl du Plooy, <\/strong>formerly NSW State Sales Manager at TAL, includes State Managers and Business Development Managers for NSW, ACT, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, Queensland and the Northern Territory.<\/p>\n<p>Those roles have been filled by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Nathan Leonard<\/strong> \u2013 State Manager NSW\/ACT, formerly Head of Partnerships &amp; Operations at Affinia.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Don Glendinning<\/strong> \u2013 State Manager VIC\/TAS\/SA, formerly Acting State Sales Manager at AIA.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Brett Leonard<\/strong> \u2013 State Manager QLD\/NT, formerly Acting Head of Sales at BT.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Brett Madigan<\/strong> \u2013 Business Development Manager NSW\/ACT, formerly Senior Business Development Manager at TAL.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Eugene Badenhorst<\/strong> \u2013 Business Development Manager VIC\/TAS\/SA, formerly Business Development Manager at AIA.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Michelle Dolan<\/strong> \u2013 Business Development Manager QLD\/NT, formerly Client Development Manager at AIA.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure id=\"attachment_42712\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-42712\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2018\/10\/Charl-du-Plooy_Head-of-Sales-NEOS-Life.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42712\" src=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2018\/10\/Charl-du-Plooy_Head-of-Sales-NEOS-Life.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"181\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-42712\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">NEOS Life Head of Sales, Charl du Plooy<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>NEOS Life Managing Director, <strong>Brett Yardley<\/strong>\u00a0said the company had recruited people with leading technical capability and interpersonal skills.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur recruitment policy is to only recruit people who are in the top 5% of what they do.
