{"id":47089,"date":"2019-11-12T13:48:03","date_gmt":"2019-11-12T03:48:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=47089"},"modified":"2019-11-12T13:48:03","modified_gmt":"2019-11-12T03:48:03","slug":"tal-senior-appointments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2019\/11\/12\/tal-senior-appointments\/","title":{"rendered":"TAL Senior Appointments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Life insurer TAL has announced a raft of senior appointments as part of realigning its structure which it states is to better reflect the evolving shape and size of the Australian life insurance market and following the recent integration of the Asteron Life business.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_45422\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-45422\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2019\/07\/Brett-Clark-5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-45422 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2019\/07\/Brett-Clark-5.jpg\" alt=\"TAL Group CEO and Managing Director, Brett Clark\" width=\"150\" height=\"181\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-45422\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">TAL CEO, Brett Clark &#8230;announcing senior appointments at TAL<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It described the key changes include the realignment of the business around two business lines \u2013 Individual Life and Group Life and Investments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The appointments include: <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Previously TAL\u2019s Chief Distribution Officer, <strong>Tim Thorne<\/strong> appointed to Chief Commercial Officer \u2013 Individual Life, responsible for the end-to-end customer and adviser propositions within TAL\u2019s Direct and Retail markets<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><span class=\"s1\">Previously TAL\u2019s Chief Commercial Officer, <strong>Andrew Howard<\/strong> appointed to Chief Commercial Officer \u2013 Group Life and Investments, leading TAL\u2019s activities and capabilities in the Group Life, Investments, Health Services, and retirement markets<\/span><\/span>\n<p><figure id=\"attachment_47090\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-47090\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2019\/11\/TimThorne-e1573530441516.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-47090\" src=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2019\/11\/TimThorne-e1573530441516.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"180\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-47090\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Chief Commercial Officer \u2013 Individual Life, Tim Thorne<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">TAL announced two further appointments which it stated reflect the size and scope of their responsibilities within the two business lines:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>Darren Wickham<\/strong> appointed as Executive General Manager, Group Life <\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>Gavin Teichner<\/strong> appointed as Executive General Manager, Individual Life<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Finally, it announced an appointment which it stated reflects TAL\u2019s commitment to its customers, particularly around claims: <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><span class=\"s1\">Previously General Manager &#8211;
